
Sofa - so good! (The artwork is the least important thing…)

As an artist, I have experienced the pressure of creating a painting that matches a piece of furniture or a decoration project. Using material recovered from a decoration house (Holy Hunt), I have created pieces combining two fabric samples that recall small Rothkos, which ended up being the interior designer's proposal to occupy the space in question. For example, if the furniture were a sofa, the space for the artwork would be reserved on the wall above the sofa and would be strictly related to its dimensions. The framed piece with the fabric samples can be placed either on the side of this area or inside it, being this another choice of the client. In the end, the artwork is the least important thing…
