This series investigates the dark side of “paint” as the principal medium from a historical perspective.
Recovered from thrift stores, the original paintings have a second life due to a triple action ( respectfully covering the original image, then flipped on their backs, and turned sideways). Viewers will never be able to see the original painting.
From the original image, the only thing that remains is the two main colors of the composition, represented by the colored sand on the methacrylate containers.
